6 weeks!!

Sawyer was 6 weeks old yesterday!! I will say it again...I can't believe how fast these past 6 weeks have gone by. Only two more weeks then it's back to work for me :( I am truly loving each and every moment with my sweet boy.

We are looking forward to spending time with friends this weekend. So far, it has been pretty easy taking Sawyer out and about with us just about anywhere we go. Next weekend, Will's grandparents are coming up from Florida to meet Sawyer for the first time. That should be a wonderful time and many memories will be made.

1 Month Old!

I can't believe that Sawyer is already a month old! Time has gone by soooo fast! Will and I are absolutely loving life with our sweet boy! I think at this point we are pretty well adjusted to his schedule. He is eating every 2-3 hours during the day and 3-4 hours at night, sometimes 5! He really is a good baby and we are enjoying everyday with him.

A typical day with Sawyer:
5-6 am: feeding
back to sleep until 8-8:30
another feeding
awake time
11-12 another feeding
We usually go have lunch at my mom's house and visit for awhile
home around 2-2:30 for another feeding
long nap time (for both of us!)
Will is home from work around 3 or 4
feeding between 5-6
sleep
feeding around 8 or 9
long sleep time
awake at 12 or 1
feeding around 3 or 4
sleep until 6 or so

I get a little rest when he sleeps. I also take that time for household chores and other things I need to get done, like showering or laundry. We are starting to get out more during the day. We have taken trips to Target and the grocery store. Will and I have taken him out to eat a few times. He usually does well and stays asleep. I go back to the doctor week after next for my 6 week check up. Sawyer goes back to his doctor at 8 weeks. Then it's time for me to go back to work. Not looking forward to that at all!! I know he will be well taken care of. Will's mom will be keeping him most days during the week. My mom will take him for one day as well. I am just enjoying each day I have with him until then. I know it will be hard, but we will figure out a routine and it will all work out.

Loving Life!

Sawyer is 3 weeks old today! Will and I are pretty well adjusted to life as new parents. Sawyer is a really good, easy baby. For the most part, he sleeps a lot and eats well. He is eating about every 3 hours during the day and 3-4 hours at night. We are all getting pretty decent sleep as well. Sawyer is not a very fussy baby. He eats and goes right back to sleep. We just love him to pieces!!
