Big Announcement

Our family has some news to share...

Sawyer is going to be a big brother in March 2015!!! We are thrilled and excited to welcome a second baby to our family! We found out back in mid-July when I was about 5 weeks pregnant. We told our immediate families pretty soon after, but kept the news quite from everyone else until I was 12 weeks pregnant, right after Labor Day. I am now 15 weeks pregnant and starting to feel a little less queasy! I am still really tired though, I guess I better get used to that with two kiddos ;)

Stayed tuned for more updates through out my pregnancy. Hopefully, I will stay caught up on the blog and not have such a long hiatus!

Back to School and Labor Day Weekend

Sawyer started in the twos class at Kilbourne Park Baptist Church Preschool on August 25th. He will go Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the mornings. We have a great system worked out where my mom will take, pick up, and keep him for the afternoon until we get off work. On Tuesdays and Thursday, he will go to Nana's house for the full day. The best of both worlds! He loves his Sassie and Nana!! It turns out he loves school too! The first week was a little weepy, but now, he goes right in without a fuss.

Directly following his first week of school, we headed down to Atlantic Beach, Florida to visit Will's grandparents for Labor Day weekend and to celebrate Granddaddy's 85th birthday! We got down there late Friday night and stayed until Monday. We visited with Will's family, played on the beach, watched plenty of football, and managed to squeeze in a side trip to St. Augustine for sightseeing and outlet shopping!

St. Augustine- man was it hot that day!

June and July 2014

June
In June, we celebrated Will and Sawyer's birthdays, as well as Father's Day. It was a real treat for me to get to do extra special things for my boys!

Father's Day 2014

July
We started off July with our annual Edisto Beach week! This year, our week actually started on the 4th. Sawyer and I were able to stay the whole week, however, Will had to work most of the time, so he only came a couple of days. We sure did miss him! He started his new job back in May with Bojangles. His hours and work days have been long. It is taking a lot of getting used to for our little family. Hopefully, it turns out to be worth it in the end! While at the beach, we enjoyed spending time with my family, playing in the pool on the porch, riding in the boat, and playing in the surf/sand.

TWO

Whoa!!! Where have the last two years gone! Sawyer's second birthday was June 14th. We celebrated with friends and family at small party at the park. He had so much fun!

Two-year well visit: Sawyer appears to be growing and developing right on track! We are lucky and blessed to have such a happy, healthy toddler!
Weight: 30 lbs
Height: 35 in.
Clothes: 24m and 2t
Diapers: size 4 (day) and size 5 (overnight)
Potty: slightly interested in the goings on- will alert us when he tee-tees in his diaper, but doesn't know before hand that he has to go. Will sit on potty but nothing happens....we will keep trying until he is ready!
Food: eats everything!
Play: loves trucks, cars, trains (specifically Chuggington), Mickey Mouse, balls, bubbles, all outside toys
Vocabulary: growing everyday, more mimicking, words he knows: mama, daddy, scotch dog, nana, papa, tay-tea, sassie, bob, cooper (pooper), jace, no, ball, bubbles, truck, choo-choo, cup (pup), pool, car, balloon, shoes, taggie (on clothes), please (pwease), and he knows some animal sounds: dog, cow, duck, chick, horse. That's probably not all of them, there are so many, and he learns more each day!

April and May 2014

More catching up:

April
The most eventful thing we had going on in April was Easter, and a quick weekend trip to the beach at the end of the month.

May

The highlight of May was Memorial Day Weekend, which was spent at Bennett's Point, per usual. We had a blast playing in the yard, riding in the boat, and chillin' on the beach.
