3 months
Sawyer will be 3 months old on Friday. Say it isn't so... Hard to believe how fast the time has gone by since he was born. I know I always start off by saying that, but I really just can't believe it! We took Sawyer for a check-up/well visit on Monday. He is now weighing in at 12 pounds 10 ounces. I don't know his length or head size though. He wears size 1 diapers and 3 month clothes (some 0-3 month). He is drinking 6 ounces of formula 5 times in 24 hours. Usually around 6-6:30 am, 10-10:30 am, 2-2:30 pm, 6-6:30 pm, and 10 pm. He sleeps randomly during the day. He catnaps and usually has one longer nap. He sleeps almost all night. He wakes up some time between 3 and 4, but goes back to sleep when given his paci and lovey. He wakes up to eat around 6 or so.
We had a great time last weekend at the Isle of Palms, despite not having working cable TV or air conditioner. The mosquitoes were also out in full force.
We only stayed out on the beach for a short time, but Sawyer seemed to enjoy himself. I was crouched down in the surf with Sawyer and a few little waves came up to us. My back was to the waves, when all of the sudden a huge one came up and over Sawyer's head. We were both startled by it. He only fussed a few seconds before his face was wiped off. We put him back in and he didn't mind it at all. We will be going back to the beach in a couple of weeks with my family. I am looking forward to taking him back out in the water. He will also get to go on his first boat ride. A friend of ours gave us a baby life jacket that her son outgrew.
This weekend we don't have a whole lot going on. We will be going to the Greek Festival at some point to get some yummy food.

12 weeks
I can't believe it...Sawyer was 12 weeks old yesterday! Where has the time gone! At 12 weeks, Sawyer is getting really good at holding his head up when upright. He is drinking 5-6 6 oz. bottles a day. He sleeps pretty good at night. He usually wakes up between 3-4 am but is able to go back to sleep until 5-6 to eat. During the day he eats every 3.5-4 hours. We are trying to get him to nap better. He doesn't want to miss anything, so he just cat naps. Although, since bumping him up to 6 oz. last week, he is taking a longer nap after lunch. I think he weighs between 11.5 and 12 lbs. We go to the doctor for a check-up on Monday, and we will know more of his stats then.
The latest goings on in the Tevepaugh family:
Labor Day Weekend: This was a wonderful weekend full of relaxation and rest. We didn't go anywhere or have any plans. Friday night, we went out to dinner with some friends and their little boy who is a month and a half older than Sawyer. We had a great time and for the most part, the babies did well. Saturday morning, Will had to work, so Sawyer and I went for a walk around the neighborhood and then did some household chores. Saturday night, we went over to a friends house to cook out and watch the race. Sawyer did really well and went to sleep in their spare pack and play. Sunday, we got up and went to church, then came home and took long naps. It was very relaxing! Monday, I was off of work, so Sawyer and I hung out all day. It was wonderful!
This weekend, we are going to the Isle of Palms with some friends. This will be Sawyer's first beach trip. I am looking forward to getting his little toes in the sand and water. I can't wait to see his reaction. I hope he loves it as much as we do.
