What a wonderful weekend spent with friends and family!! I really enjoy the Easter holiday and the true meaning of this special day. We started off our weekend on Thursday night with dinner with friends. We always enjoy getting together, and now letting the kiddos play! I am so glad that Sawyer will have such good buddies to play with! Friday night we had dinner at Cantina 76 and hung out at home, in preparation for the busy weekend to follow. Saturday morning, I got up early and went grocery shopping- alone! I got in and out as quick as possible. I had some baking to do for all of our Easter meals. I baked pecan blondies and lemon squares, and Will baked M&M cookies! Saturday afternoon, we headed out to my dad's farm outside of Camden. Sawyer got to see the horses and all of the dogs. He wasn't scared of the horses, but he was definitely a little uneasy at first.

Sunday morning, we were up bright and early to get ready for church. Sawyer had his bottle and then we went to check to see if the Easter bunny came.

After church, we went home for a little while for Sawyer to nap, then went to my mom's house for lunch.

While at my mom's house, Sawyer took another short nap. When he woke up, he felt a little warm. Once we got home after lunch, I check his temperature--- 102.8! Oh jeez, here we go again! I gave him Motrin then. He refused to go to sleep almost the entire afternoon. He was very fussy, and you could tell he just didn't feel good. Finally he fell asleep for about 30 minutes. His temp was down a little, so we decided to go on to Will's parent's house for dinner. Once we got there, looked at his Easter basket, and a fed him dinner, I tried to lay him down again. He refused to sleep, as well. We got him up to socialize, and he seemed a little cooler. I guess the Motrin and Tylenol were working by this point. He only had a low fever during the night, and was fine this morning. I took him to my mom's today instead of Nana's just to be safe today. I will see how he is tonight before taking him to the doc tomorrow if necessary. It hasn't even been a week since he finished his last antibiotic from his ear infection. I'm hoping this just goes away on it's own!

****Update: I ended up taking Sawyer to the pediatrician on Tuesday morning. He wasn't running a fever, but you could tell he still wasn't feeling great. Our regular doctor was not in the office, so we saw a different one. I really liked her a lot! She checked Sawyer's ear, chest, and throat. His ears and chest were clear. However, his throat looked terrible. She said it was very red and irritated, his tonsils were swollen, and there was some puss. Poor kid! No wonder he cried when eating his breakfast. You could tell it was painful for him to swallow. He was not having trouble with his bottles, but the solid food was painful for him. Dr. G. suggested we do a strep test, which came back negative. She said his throat infection was just viral. We are to give him plenty of fluids, Tylenol/Motrin for pain, and Pedialyte popsicles. He started feeling better late yesterday afternoon, and continues to be ok this morning. Hopefully this won't be a long-lived virus!
