Photo Friday
My mom was keeping Sawyer while I was at work today. She sent me this picture before lunch. Such a happy boy! I am so glad that he does so well when staying with his grandmothers during the week. He enjoys his time with his Nana (Will's mom) and with his Sallie/Sassie (my mom).

Hi-Ho-Hi-Ho It's Back to Work I Go
This week has been my first week back to work. To say it has been hard would be an understatement. Monday was one of the worst days of my life. I absolutely hated leaving Sawyer. I knew he would be well taken care of by his Nana, but I was a mess! The dreaded feelings started on Sunday afternoon. I didn't sleep well Sunday night. I woke up Monday morning and just started crying. I cried the whole time I was getting ready and on the drive to Will's mom's house. Will went with me to drop him off. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I should have been ok, knowing that he would be fine, but all day long I thought of him. My family, friends, and co-workers were all very supportive. We survived day one! Tuesday and Wednesday were a little easier. Today was the least emotional drop-off yet. This week has been a big adjustment for all of us. Sawyer and I had all summer together and had established our daily routines. Now, we have got to get used to new routines. He is still on his same feeding schedule, which is nice. His sleeping schedule has been a little off, as he gets used to sleeping at Nana's house. I am looking forward to the weekend and spending much needed time with my boy! Also, Sawyer turned 2 months old on Tuesday, and is 9 weeks old today!
This photo collage is the background on my computer at work. I get to look at my sweet boy all day long when I am not with him.

8 Weeks!!!
Sawyer is 8 weeks old today!! We started our day off by going to his 8 week check-up. He got weighed and measured, and also got his vaccinations.
Stats:
10 pounds 5 ounces
22.5 inches long
We are enjoying each and everyday with our sweet boy! I go back to work on Monday :( I am cherishing every last minute with Sawyer. He has pretty much put himself on a schedule. He eats every 3 or so hours during the day and 6-7 hours at night. We are doing a combo of breast feeding and bottle feeding (5 oz. bottles).
Rough schedule:
8 am feeding
cat nap
play time
11 am feeding
rest/play time
2-3 pm feeding
long nap
5-6 pm feeding
short nap/play time
8-9 pm feeding
long sleep
3-4 am feeding
Hopefully he will continue on this schedule, and even stretch out that nighttime sleeping! We are very happy with his progress so far. He is a very happy and content baby. He only really gets fussy and upset when he is hungry or super tired. We just love him to pieces. I will definitely miss him when I go back to work, but I know he will be in good hands with Will's mom and my mom. Nana (Will's mom) will keep him 4 days, and Sassy (my mom) will keep him one day a week. I am looking forward to getting in a routine. I have gotten used to our current routine, and I am ready to find out what the new normal will be for us. Keep us in your thoughts as we get adjusted to work/grandma time next week.

Great-Grandparents
First off, I can't believe Sawyer is 7.5 weeks old. Today marks one week before I have to go back to work...booo!! We have had a wonderful summer of getting to know our sweet boy, and we have made unforgettable memories!
I took this video last week while Sawyer was playing on his playmat.
On Friday, Will's grandparents came from Florida to meet Sawyer for the first time. I know he will have a special relationship with his great-grandparents. I wish my grandparents were still here. I know they would adore him just like Will's grandparents do.
